As a child growing up in New York City I never owned a dog, but after my first Westminster Kennel Club show I knew
that would change and shortly thereafter became the proud owner of an Irish Wolfhound named Bran. Since then, I've
opened my home to numerous dogs including my beloved Labradoodle, Gatsby, and my Irish Wolfhound, Meghan. In
addition to my passion for dogs, I'm also interested in the protection of all living creatures.
Therefore, it was a natural evolution for me to embrace IFAW with its worldwide focus on marine and terrestrial animals.
I value IFAW's work and wanted to show my support for the animals they help by opening a charitable gift annuity.
The CGA's financial benefit, in the form of a higher interest rate than most investments provide, is only outweighed by
the good I know this particular investment is doing for our animal friends who cannot speak for themselves.
In fact, after I originally wrote this article, I decided to establish a second charitable gift annuity with IFAW to continue
helping the animals we love.
